Show Recaps
Highlights, top pulls, and behind-the-booth moments from every show we've worked.
Space City Card Show
I had actually debated skipping this one altogether — competing shows, vendors pulled to Miami, and unsold tables…
The Wood Card Show
Grayson has some key tests early next week, so I worked this one alone. Not optimal, as we had an additional eight foot table…
Front Row Card Show
After a number of vendors recommended we get into a Front Row show, we chose this one to start with because of its size and Grayson's ability to travel over Labor Day weekend…
Collection Call
A website inquiry to look at a collection an hour away. Why we bring a partner, what we found, and what we paid…
Dallas Card Show — Houston
First time vending in the Dallas Card Show circuit, albeit at the familiar George R. Brown Convention Center. Friday started off with a huge trade…
H-Town & Katy Card Shows
We got back from 8 days in Nassau and did not vend at either show. We got VIP passes for H-Town and grabbed a couple of nice PSA 7 Mantles…
The National
Our 3rd National together, and our five days in Rosemont felt a bit like a rollercoaster. Before we even left, The Hyatt killing the trade nights had us scramble…
Conroe Card Show
We were not sure what to make of this show. Sandwiched in between The National and The West Coast Card Show, our focus was going to be narrow and the buying conservative…
West Coast Card Show
The busiest show weekend of the year, and we chose Anaheim over Dallas and Fanatics Fest. Right away, you could tell that this was a high-end show with high-end buyers…
The Wood Card Show
This is the smallest show we do (only about 30 sports tables, 65 total), but it's a short drive and we tend to be a draw due to less competition…
Space City Card Show
Our 2nd Space City show in Rosenberg, and it was a steady show. We came to buy for The West Coast Card Show and were able to target Ohtani heavily…
H-Town Card Show
A tough weekend, and not much of it the show's fault. January at the GRB was excellent. This one ran slow from the start — with the World Cup in town…
Austin Card Show
The trip started with The Hyatt Regency calling to say they didn't have our room, so a pivot led us to the Hilton. Much better spot this time near the door…
Conroe Card Show
We were excited about this show because booth location matters, and ours was front and center the moment you walked in…
Katy Card Show
Katy is always a good buying show. The Merrell Center was packed on Saturday. As usual, the traffic slowed a bit Sunday, but that allows for us to work the room…
Austin Card Show
First time setting up in Austin. We didn't have the greatest booth location, but the show was outstanding for selling…
Conroe Card Show
A competitive TCG show pulled away much of the TCG crowd (which I am fine with), so the show felt less busy…
H-Town Card Show
You don't realize how much we rely on Card Ladder until the show doesn't have Wi-Fi. Great turnout at the ULH Center this weekend…
The Wood Card Show
Last minute invite and a short drive for a smaller show. The size of the show limited the upside, but we moved a Caitlin Clark Downtown and other case hits…
TriStar Collectors Show
This was an especially important show for me. I had been going to TriStar shows since the early 90's, so vending at my first one was a cool experience…
Conroe Card Show
We passed — at least for now — on sponsoring, and our spot was easily the worst of the Conroe shows to date. That being said, we had plenty of buying opportunities…
H-Town Card Show
Our first GRB show, which brings back so many show memories from when I was younger. Also our first 3 day show, which worked out well as Grayson was still off of school…
Katy Card Show
This was our first Katy show, on either the vendor or the attendee side. Even with our sponsorship, we were near the exit — albeit in the front…
Conroe Card Show
Five weeks between the last Conroe show and a lack of shows nationally led to a few bigger buyers and dealers coming to Conroe…
Conroe Card Show
Our 2nd Conroe show, and this one was a replacement for a Katy show that was cancelled. Feedback from some vendors was that it was simply too close to the last one…
Conroe Card Show
Our 2nd show as vendors, at the Hyatt Regency Conroe. Being new, we had three tables against the back wall, but it didn't seem to affect our buying or selling…
Space City Card Show
Our first show vending, and a lot of lessons learned right away. Our booth was at the back of the arena, but in the path of where vendors walked in…
The National
Our 2nd National together, and it lived up to the hype. Staying at the Hyatt was a huge win, with the lobby packed with the show's unofficial trade nights…
Fanatics Fest
Our first Fanatics Fest was a great experience. We came in early, caught a Yankees game, visited Dave & Adam's and had some great pizza…
