Most of the liquid case hits left with the national dealers set up next to us.

Our second show in a busy month. After speaking with a number of vendors, I decided to pass on sponsoring. While I do want to support the show, location is key, and loyalty is rewarded over sponsor amount — which I understand and respect.

So we passed, at least for now, and our spot was easily the worst of the Conroe shows to date. Mid-room, mid-aisle. Nothing special. That being said, we still had plenty of buying opportunities and Grayson did a nice job working the room. We probably bought more than we had at any show. We sat next to an out-of-state vendor who seemed defensive all weekend, and who got into a heated argument with another vendor over a low comp. I felt it was immature and frankly dumb.

Highlight acquisitions were a Drake Maye Color Blast PSA 10, a 2018 Kevin Durant Kaboom PSA 10, and a PSA 9 Shohei Ohtani World Series at Night that had never sold.

Update: the Mayes we bought and didn't sell pre-Super Bowl ended up tanking. Another tough lesson learned. Yes, we rode the wave of escalated values, but they got too high and smart buyers knew it.
