Katy Card Show

This was our first Katy show, on either the vendor or the attendee side. Even with our sponsorship, we were near the exit — albeit in the front. We heard mixed opinions of this show, but felt it went very well overall. For the first time, we weren't thrilled with the setup next to us — table space at a show only works if everyone respects it.

With the holidays close, the buying was very strong. You can assume attendees were looking for holiday gift liquidity. We bought nearly an entire display case of case hits. Many of the cards were raw and bought from those who do breaks on Whatnot. Overall the buying opportunities were much better than our last show. This show, like Conroe, is about an hour from our house, so we chose to stay in a hotel.

Selling overall was similar to Conroe, maybe a little slower, but overall for our fifth show vending we felt it was a positive step heading into 2026 and the strong schedule of January shows.

Update: the case hits purchased at this show set the table for a strong opening to 2026. This was critical, as we had 4 shows scheduled in January (one cancelled) and replenishing inventory is not always easy — especially that fast.
